![]() HunstantonAlso often referred to as Sunny Hunny, Hunstanton is one of the few east coast towns to enjoy beautiful sunsets over the sea, this due it being west facing. There is lots to keep everyone occupied in Hunstanton, the beautiful beaches of both Old Hunstanton and Hunstanton itself are used and enjoyed all year round, there is a fair, sealife centre, small theatre/cinema, shops, plenty of fish and chips and cafes plus lots more. Hunstanton pier was built in 1870 but sadly in 1978 during the floods, the pier was destroyed and never rebuilt. There is a caravan site in Hunstanton with a small land train which runs in the summer from the site, all through the town centre, along the cliffs and to the beach at Old Hunstanton. How to get to Hunstanton from SwaffhamHead along the A47 westwards towards King's Lynn and follow this road for about 12 miles, on reaching King's Lynn at the Hardwick Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the ramp and then at the roundabout, take the 5th exit onto the A149.
