Castle Acre

Castle Acre is a pretty village with the ruins of a Cluniac Priory and a Norman Castle. It is located on the ancient Peddars Way, and has a Roman trackway to the North of Norfolk which until recently remained an important route to the North Norfolk coast.

How to get to Castle Acre from Swaffham

By car, take the A1065 towards Cley Road and continue to follow the A1065 before turning left towards Bailey Street. Continue to Castle Acre.
